Secondo la teoria della medicina tradizionale cinese, il qi è il principale flusso di energia che attraversa il corpo umano. Ogni volta che il flusso di qi viene alterato o bloccato, il corpo avvertirà dolori. Il qi fluisce all’interno di canali chiamati meridiani. I punti di agopuntura si trovano sui meridiani e sono i punti in cui il qi sale alla superficie del corpo. Questi punti, chiamati anche agopunti, sono punti specifici tracciati sul corpo che quando stimolati creano un effetto sugli organi a cui sono correlati.

La conoscenza degli agopunti è molto importante poichè l'agopuntura non può essere efficace se non si agisce sugli agopunti appropriati. La corretta conoscenza degli agopunti del corpo è indispensabile quando si pratica l'agopuntura o la digitopressione. Più preciso è la pressione nel punto, migliore sarà il trattamento.

Meridiani principali del corpo

Punto di Dazhui

Tra tutti i meridiani del corpo, ci sono dodici meridiani principali, i più importanti del corpo che si collegano agli organi zangfu e sono le principali vie che trasportano qi e sangue in tutto il corpo.

Ogni meridiano è associato ad uno specifico organo e in base all'arto di appartenenza, sono anche differenziati in meridiani yin e yang. I meridiani principali sono distribuiti lateralmente e simmetricamente sulla testa, il viso, il tronco e gli arti. I sei meridiani yin sono distribuiti sul lato interno del corpo, mentre i sei meridiani yang sono distribuiti sul lato esterno.

I meridiani yin sono: il meridiano del polmone (LU), cuore (HT), pericardio (PC), milza (SP), rene (KI) e fegato (LV); mentre i meridiani yang sono il meridiano dell’intestino crasso (LI), intestino tenue (SI), triplice riscaldatore (TE), stomaco (ST), vescica (BL) e cistifellea (GB).

Dieci maggiori agopunti del corpo

Zusanli 足三里

Zusanli

Il punto zusanli (ST-36) appartiene al meridiano dello stomaco. Zusanli è il principale punto di agopuntura del meridiano dello stomaco. Ha le funzioni di regolare la milza e lo stomaco, rinvigorire la milza e lo yang, riscaldare e dissipare il freddo, rinvigorire e regolare il qi e il sangue. L’agopuntura nel punto zusanli ha inoltre un buon effetto sul sistema digestivo.

Guanyuan 关元

Il punto guanyuan si trova sulla linea mediana dell'addome, 7,5 cm sotto l'ombelico. È il "punto di sollevamento" dell'intestino tenue, dove risiede la vitalità. Operare sul guanyuan può aiutare vari stati di debolezza e tensione, come debolezza addominale, diarrea, impotenza maschile, dismenorrea e mestruazioni.

Qihai 气海

L’agopunto qihai è situato nella linea mediana dell'addome, 4 cm sotto l'ombelico. L’agopuntura nel punto qihai ha effetti benefici per le vene, il rene e rafforza l'essenza, il corpo e allevia l'affaticamento.

Zhongwan 中脘

Qihai

Il punto zhongwan si trova nella linea mediana dell'addome, 10 cm sopra l'ombelico. Questo punto regola lo stomaco e tonifica il qi, alleviando l'umidità e riducendo la nausea. Si dice possa migliorare la funzione della milza e dello stomaco, promuovendo la digestione e l'assorbimento.

Shenque 神阙

Il punto shenque corrisponde esattamente all’ombelico. L’agopuntura nel punto Shenque è efficace per la prevenzione e il trattamento di diarrea, dolore addominale, ritenzione urinaria, prurito cutaneo e orticaria.

Sanyinjiao 三阴交

L’agopunto sanyinjiao (SP-6) si trova sul lato interno della parte inferiore della gamba. Ha effetti preventivi e terapeutici sulle malattie del fegato, della milza e dei reni, ha le funzioni di rafforzare questi tre organi, regolare il sangue mestruale e le funzioni riproduttive.

Dazhui 大椎

L'agopunto dazhui si trova tra la settima vertebra cervicale e la prima vertebra toracica. L’agopuntura nell'agopunto Dazhui può prevenire e curare malattie come raffreddore, polmonite e altre infezioni del tratto respiratorio superiore, gonfiore alla testa, vertigini, mal di testa ecc.

Shenzhu 身柱

Guanyuan

Il punto shenzhu si trova tra la terza e la quarta vertebra toracica nella parte posteriore del collo. Ha l'effetto di regolare il qi polmonare, la carenza di nutrienti ed ha, inoltre, un effetto calmante.

Yongquan 涌泉

Il punto yongquan (KI-1) il principale punto di agopuntura del meridiano del rene. È utile per il trattamento di insonnia, indigestione, mal di stomaco, distensione addominale, costipazione, diarrea, mestruazioni irregolari e dolore alle gambe.

Mingmen 命门

L'agopunto mingmen è situato sotto la seconda vertebra lombare, opposto al punto Shenque. Il suo trattamento può regolare la diarrea, spermorrea, impotenza, eiaculazione precoce, perdite vaginali, mestruazioni irregolari, sudorazione, malaria da freddo e da calore ecc.
